After perfect use for our 2 children, we no longer need our Touchwood New Zealand Cot.
It is in good condition and is fantastic quality. Touchwood is one of the best manufacturers of nursery equipment in New Zealand and still sell this cot - it is the Meadow Cot in pine with panelled sides and can be found on their website (http://www.touchwoodcots.co.nz/index.php?pag...isi91)
It converts to 4 uses - A bassinet with fixed sides and a high base; A cot with the base lower and one side that lowers; A first bed, and finally a Sofa. It is easy to convert between types and all the fixings are brass that fix firmly and prevent fingers being trapped.
We bought this when living in Australia in 2003 when New Zealand safety standards were the highest in the world. A new one bought today would be about £500.
It is solid New Zealand pine and has the following approximate dimensions:
Length - 135cm
Width - 77cm
Height - 80cm and 102cm with leg extensions (they come off when a junior bed)
The mattress (129cm by 69cm by 9cm high) with removable, washable mattress protector is included.
As you would expect for furniture that has been used and loved by 2 children, there are a few marks and scratches but nothing major. All the bolts and allen keys are included for all 4 modes, but I have lost the original instructions. However, the Touchwood website has the current instructions online and I have emailed them to ask for a new copy.
It is quite bulky, so collection only, I'm afraid.
The photos were taken with it made up in the sofa configuration, with the main photo showing the drop-down side, roll bars (for first bed) and leg extensions (for cot).
